The suspended heptafluoropropane (HFC-227ea) fire extinguishing device is a highly efficient and clean fire protection system. Depending on the model, the suspended FM200 fire extinguisher can be activated using a fixed temperature, electric explosion, or solenoid valve. For example, a fixed temperature fire extinguisher relies on a fixed temperature glass ball on the valve that expands and ruptures upon heating during a fire to open the valve and release the fire extinguishing agent.
